DAV College, Jalandhar's Principal Dr. V.K. Tiwari gave a grand reception at Jalandhar Cantt's railway station to his college's winning hockey team. The teams won 16 th Sail Golden Jubilee Nehru Colleges Hockey Championship. This is DAV College's third consecutive win of this trophy. Out 16 tournaments of this cup, DAV College has won 10 times.
Star Star penalty corner expert Lakhvinder Singh was declared Man of the Match in the finals and semi finaqls.In the finals the team defeated Gurukul Kangri Uiversity , Haridwar by 7-1. Dr. Tiwari, also, congratulated Coach Olympion Gundeep Kumar and Head of Physical Education Department Prof. Manu Sood.
