Jalandhar Day Temperature- "Tandoori"-Chhabeels Help Cool

Day temperature in Jalandhar , in the forenoon, touched 44 * C. To make matters worse there were power cuts. Brave police-paramilitary personnel were manning their posts in simmering heat.Many religious and social groups had put up " Chhabeels " of sweet cold drinking water which helped quench parched throats.
