Heavy Rains are a mixed blessing for Jalandhar town. There is virtual absence of a storm drainage system in Jalandhar. Most low lying areas have been filled up. Hence, roads get waterlogged. While wading through water many vehicles including two wheelers ( water in exhaust pipes ) stop. Hapless vehicle owners manually push the vehicle to a repair shop.
Situation s very difficult in areas like Domorial Pul and Khalsa College where railway over bridges are under construction. It is a virtual nightmare for vehicle owners to cross such localities.
