Today is International Anti Corruption Day. Indians should treat it at par with Independence Day because we are not really free till we free our selves from the current chains of corruption.
When we wonder why is India behind China in economic growth , we should look in to the all prevailing disease of corruption in India. In China they shoot corrupt officials . In India they go scot free.
We should raise our voice fearlessly against corruption and the corrupt.
- We demand that the Government does away with over regulations which breed corruption. For example, in the road transport sector. There should be no licences or route permits. Let market forces determine .Why should there be any entry barrier ? Any body who has a commercial vehicle should be allowed to ply.
Why should in Punjab , an ordinary urban shop keeper pay for electricity at rates exceeding Rs six
a unit ( PENAL COMMERCIAL ) while a landowner owning land worth in excess of Rs 100 crore is given FREE ELECTRICITY ?
Why are the Road Toll Barriers allowed to squeeze exorbitant tolls from modest Maruti 800 car owners while Rs, 25 + lakh vehicles merrily pass through VIP corridor, FREE ,obscenely blowing hooters.
We should completely end the system of VIP culture in India.We should make the politicians and bureaucrats learn to respect and treat fairly ordinary NON VIP INDIANS. Colonial rule ended in 1947.
Only then can we be truly be a FREE Country.
