On the New Year eve bash there was , reportedly , a tiff which involved a very senior officer of the elite IAS cadre in Jullundur Gymkhana.

Clubs like Jullundur Gymkhana serve no public purpose.

In independent India top administrative officers should maintain a respectable distance from the affairs of such bodies and should not in any way associate themselves with them.
