Paid Urban Electricity Consumers in Punjab Continue to Be Billed at Hiked Rates

Paid Urban Consumers of electricity have , again , received bills at the revised hiked rates and with octroi duty .

When the Punjab Government has announced a roll back and credit for previously hiked rates already paid , one fails to understand the logic behind this billing at hiked rates.

Paid Urban consumers should be allowed to make the necessary corrections themselves  in the Bills received by them and only the net amount ( after allowing the reversal credit and pre hike rates ) be collected.

The last date for payment should , also , be extended till the  procedure for making necessary accounting corrections is made public.
