Social- Religious Tension Incidents inJalandhar

Social tension prevailed in Village Manan ( Jalandhar ) between two communities involving a religious place and religious scriptures. Sadly, a lady constable of Punjab Police was seriously injured while she was discharging duty to prevent rioting and arson.

In another incident ,two religious communities had heated verbal exchanges in New Rasilla Nagar Jalandhar
where a religious function was being organized . The other community accused that the religious function was a cover for conversion .Police had to intervene

Such tensions should be resolved peacefully by community leaders across the table .Peace should not be disturbed and political religious leaders play a positive and helpful role.
