Jalandhar DC Appeals to NGO s to Help Destitute on Roads Beat Cold

Priyank Bharati IAS , Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar has expressed concern about the well being of the homeless poor and the destitute who have to cope with the severe cold on the streets .

Priyank Bharti has sought the help of NGO s to come forward in this regard.

Apart from distributing  blankets and quilts , bonfires , either in the open or in big drums should be lit for the whole nights at convenient places where there are destitute in Jalandhar. Bagasse and other cheap combustible  waste material can be used in these drums. Free hot tea in disposal plastic cups can be offered.
