Even after abolishing Octroi ( Choongi ) in the State , Choongi continues to be levied on Urban Petrol and Urban Electricity .
. Whereas Electricity is given free to many in Punjab ( on Vote Bank basis with no concession to Physically Handicapped Punjabis as they do not form a Vote Bank ) on the other hand ,Urban businessmen in Punjab are charged Electricity at Penal Rates ( euphemistically called Commercial Rates ).
The Govt. should honour its Pre Poll Promises
