Three Wheeler : Rs. 2000
Four Wheeler ( except Tractor ) Rs. 6000
Six Wheeler Rs. 10,000
Six Wheeler + Rs. 15000
Tractors of Farmers : FREE
Vehicles Owners of Jalandhar have opposed these hefty Taxes .
A small Nano / Maruti 800 costing less than Rs. 50,000 ( second hand ) and a premium BMW ( Rs. 30 Lakh ) would both be charged at the same Rs. 6000 rate!!
Three Wheelers ( auto rickshaws ) are used by Urban Unemployed Youth to earn a modest living .
