Over taxed Urban Punjabis want Property Tax to be withdrawn.
Already Paid Consumers of Electricity are being charged Choongi ( Octroi ) . This is Double Taxation as Choongi has been abolished in Punjab and has been substituted by VAT.
If the Choongi collected in Electricity Bills is passed on to the Municipal Corporation , then there would be no need for Property Tax.
