.Although India should vigorously safeguard its Siliguri corridor with all military / diplomatic ways , simultaneously , India should work out with Bangla Desh , emergency Road / Rail transit routes.
It must be remembered tht when in the late 19 th Century , British India negotiated its Northern boundaries with Tibet China ), Bhutan , Sikkim there was no Siliguri corridor but only Siliguri passage.
The Silighuri passage became a narrow corridor in 1947 after East Pakistan ( Bangla Desh ) became a separate country.

After First World War , France had a phobia of a German Invasion .
So , they constructed a chain of impregnable forts ( Maginot Line ) along the German border.
In World War Two , Germany , simply , ignored the Maginot Line and entered France through a neutral Belgium.

1967- India Defeated China at Nathu La
God Bless Our Brave Soldiers then in 1967 and now , and always
India is taking the right steps in the current Chinese transgression at Nath La.
China talks about India's defeat in 1962. What China forgets is the massive Indian victory at Nathu la clashes in 1967.
1962 was basically a back stabbing by treacherous Chinese who were outwardly uttering : Hindi Chini Bhai Bhai "
In 1967 , at Nathula 400 Chinese troops were neutralized by the brave Indian army ( our 70 Jawans gained martyrdom ).
China got not an inch of Indian land
