Jalandhar is the Media hub of Punjab with many leading newspapers published from here. Jalandhar occupies a vantage point geographically.Reinforcing Jalandhar's reputation as the most happening city of Punjab all major parties have opened their tech savvy offices ( computers / Internet ) in Jalandhar. These offices will give, daily, media briefings and also co-ordinate the logistic of the elaborate poll campaigns.
Congress office would function from Congress Bhavan in Rajendra Nagar ( near courts ).Akali Dal office would be in Avtar Nagar Nagar. It would be looked after by Gurcharan Singh Channi, Jalandhar ( Urban ) chief of Akali Dal and Kirpal Singh Badungar ( Ex SGPC President ).
BSP ( General Secretary Satish Bharti )and BJP ( State Co-convener of BJP Media cell Rajat Mahendru and Punjab BJP chief Prof. Rajendra Bhandari )will announce, shortly, their offices.
