It is very gratifying to see Jalandhar students holding a 3 day Campaign against corruption . Once , the Youth of India awakens the corrupt would have very diificult times.
The Youth should help the victims of corruption by doing voluntary Service :-
1 ) Asking for Information under RTI ( Right To Information ) Act.
2 ) Identifying Corruption Prone Departments ( Malaidaar departments ) and taking suitable action against all those asking for bribes ( Sewa )
3 ) Fight Against Vote Bank Politics ( Create Awareness Against any Unfair policy which has roots in Divisive and Vote Bank politics ) .
4 ) Create awareness against misuse of Beacon on Cars and use of Hooters.
The Youth would lead the way in creating a Corruption free bureaucracy and making Governance Simple , Transparent and Pro People.
The Supreme consideration for deciding any issue ( like FDI in Retail ) should be the Question that IS IT IN THE LARGER INTEREST OF THE COUNTRY ? and not that whether it suits some vested interests.
In the forthcoming elections the Youth should help those candidates who promise equality ( on Petrol prices where urban Punjabis have been very heavily overcharged , crippling electricity rates for Paid Urban consumers which is Double the Himachal Pradesh rates. Electricity should not be made free on Vote Bank basis. Why Octroi ( CHOONGI ) continues on Petrol and Urban Paid Electricity consumers when Octroi ( CHOONGI ) has been abolished in Punjab. Penal Rates of electricity ( euphemistically called COMMERCIAL on Urban Business men ) Nano and Maruti 800 cars should be exempt at the Highway Toll Plazas.
