Sewerage Disposal Facilities in Jalandhar To Be Augmented

Mayor Rakesh Rathor announced at a press conference, Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar has submitted a detailed project report of Rs.332 crore investment, to the Ministry of Urban Development for substanially increasing the sewerage disposal facilities in Jalandhar.

The capacity of the existing plant at village Pholariwal would be increased by 25%to 125 MLD ( million litres per daY ). New pumping-cum-treatment plants would be put up at Hoshiarpur Road and at Kaputhala Road.

Further, a solid waste treatment plant, in collaboration with a U.S. based company , would be set up at village Jamsher.
