Water Crisis in Delhi

Delhi is situated on the banks of the river Yamuna.

Has Yamuna become so polluted that Delhi is nearly fully dependent on canal water from Haryana?

This canal water is from Western Yamuna Canal which originates from Yamuna at Tajewala just down stream of Paonta Sahib.

It means that the main river in its around 150 km course from Paonta Sahib to Delhi becomes so heavily polluted that in Delhi its water is undrinkable.''

Compare it with London / Thames River or Paris / Seine River.

Never Underestimate the Importance of Water. Akbar had to abandon his newly planned Capital city of Fatehpur Sikri because of Water.
