Instead of providing relief to the urban consumers , especially of Punjab , petrol prices at , again , set to be raised by around Rs. 1 . 50 paise per litre from 01-06-11 .

It appears that the burden of cross subsidies ( on diesel etc. ) and taxes on urbanites in  Punjab ( as petrol in Punjab is the costliest in India ) are out to devastate Urban Punjabi consumers.

Petrol consumers in Jalandhar want that instead of raising petrol prices Government should lower taxes on petrol . ( In Punjab nearly Rs. 36 per litre are collected as taxes )

People are fed up with the discriminatory taxation policies .

  It seems that the West has learnt nothing from its recent blunders , especially in Iraq. The elimination of Saddam Hussein and his children was very untactful . It lead to a vacuum which only helped the terrorists and anarchists to fill up .
